Propoganda is to democracy as violence is to dictatorship.

This statement means that  propaganda or the ideas undermine the democracy, just like violence undermines the dictatorship. this is true because in a dictatorship, the only way to over throw it is to have violence. in a democracy, the way to overthrow the government is to use propaganda.

The Movie:

This movie was basically about Noam Chomsky's view on propaganda, and media. he touches a lot on the ideas of propaganda and the way theat our country thinks. he debates a lot with other people in the movie about media and the way he views things. in the movie, there are a lot of parts in the movie about the holocost because that is a perfect example of how violence relates to a dictatorship, and probably is the worst thing that could have happened. he meets with a lot of different people in the movie and talks all about his views and feelings on these problems. overall, the movie was good, but very long and boring.
